Testimonials from our customers

We aim to be the best guiding service and travel assistant in Cambodia.
Our customers, returning year after year, are happy to tell you in their own words:

We went to visit Ankor Wat and we discovered Cambodia. It was one of the rare cases when you receive more than you expected.

We were dreaming of a journey to Cambodia for several years and finally we had the opportunity for doing it. We could either choose an Italian travel agency offering package tours or participate to a tour guided by some archaeologist, focused essentially to the discovery of ancient Khmer  civilization. We were not really happy with these two choices.

While surfing  the web, I came across this organisation. At the beginning I was very sceptical, still I sent a mail asking for some information . I received an immediate answer with suggestions and proposals and in a few weeks, confidence was built up through exchange of mails, comments, and adjustments to the programme ….. I felt a strong commitment by Andy to satisfy our wishes , sharing with us his knowledge of the country . What convinced us was the fact that we could tailor the programme to our needs, we had a car and a guide only for us , we could include in the programme the visit of places that could give us a deeper knowledge  of the country, and we could choose the accommodation suitable to us, ranging from the top la Résidence to the guest house near Koh ker. And all this within a reasonable budget.

The first part of our journey was mainly dedicated to the Khmer art and to Siem Reap area. Phallika, the Italian speaking guide that was with us during 9 days , introduced us not only to the history and art of  Khmer civilization, but also to the various aspects of the present khmer life, without hiding the problems that Cambodia is still facing.  We visited village markets where you could not find tourist stuff , we visited Takeo area by boat, hardly meeting other tourists, we slept one night in a village near Koh Ker where by chance we assisted to a wedding party. We had a few organization problem and the staff were very helpful in assisting both in extending hotel reservation and in changing the programme due to the cancellation of internal flights.

During the second part of our journey we were in Mondalkiri where we could visit the wonderful surroundings, the waterfalls  and  meet minority people in their villages . Sambor, our local guide, made us feel part of the community, and invited us for dining with her wife showing us the photos of his recent wedding party and explaining the ceremony. Maybe other tour operators could organize  the same visit , but we had the feeling of spending a long week end with friends .

What can we recommend to  future visitors to Cambodia?

-        Dedicate enough time to plan your travel with Andy.

-        Do not rush . Avoid doing something like “ Venice Florence, Rome Naple”

-        Allocate part of your time to non tourist activities ; cooking lessons, visit to NGO  initiatives,  their school.. Idle time is essential to understand the country.

After this experience it will be hard for us to select a packaged tour for our next destination.

Many thanks to Andy and to our friendly guides and drivers.

Hi Andy,

That sounds like a good plan.  I do think Vcom and other agencies will be impressed by the "Giving Back" philosophy of AboutAsia and iamcambodia.  Who wouldn't want to help the young people of Cambodia?  The country has been through the ringer and everyone seems to be still smiling.

Sincerely,

Don February 2010

P.S. I don't think Karen and I ever mentioned how nice the VIP express service was on our departure.  The official that helped us did a great job.  After the fact, we discussed whether we should have tipped him or not.  At the time it did not seem appropriate because he looked like a general.  Afterward we wondered if even the "generals" would expect a tip?????  Hope we did not step on too many toes during our stay??  Tipping is always such a mystery.  I am sure it is the same for you in deciding who needs "gifts" to get things done.

Andy hi,

It was so good to bump into you at lunchtime today and hear your tales of your life well lived on the road less travelled.  As promised, I'm finally writing my thank you and am happy for you to put it on your website.

My short time here in Cambodia has taught me that life is to be lived consciously, and shoes and travel itineraries should be bespoke, thanks to you guys!

I recently spent a perfect day with Bunchay Chem, visiting Siem Reap's temples.  As someone who booked a flight to Siem Reap with little interest in and no knowledge of its temples, I could easily have become the only visitor in Siem Reap's history to have stayed for 3 weeks and not gone to a temple.  In light of this admission, I am very grateful to you, for creating a fascinating day for me visiting 4 temples, talking and learning non stop about Khmer history and finishing the day with that spectacular, private sunset, sipping gin and tonic.

Bunchay realised pretty early on that my interest lay more in Cambodia's recent past, than its ancient history, and he told me incredible stories about his family's experience during the Khmer Rouge era.  Each story he told, prompted 5 more questions from me - all of which he answered patiently whilst guiding me through jungle pathways to the next view of the extraordinary temples.  I was so relieved that we left the coach loads of camera clicking tourists behind us and went off quietly on our own to lesser known areas.  I loathe feeling like a tourist when I'm abroad and with Bunchay I just felt I was walking and talking with a friend, rather than following a tour leader.

I dread to think how little I would have learned from visiting the temples on my own or as part of a large tour.  Seeing them with Bunchay brought the whole era with its religions and practices alive for me in a way that a guide book or mass group couldn't.

As with so many before me, I now leave Cambodia wanting more.  And the great thing is, I know just who to call on my return, to tailor make my next itinerary for me.

Thank you.

Helen Collier - 25th Jan 2010

Hi Andy,

I have been remiss in writing this note to you.   It has a month since our trip to Cambodia and I have been meaning to write you this note since then.   We have very fond memories of Cambodia and we talk about it often after we came back.

The arrangements you made were thorough and we thank you for it.  From the minute we were picked up at the airport by Buntheon, we were well-taken-care of.    Buntheon is a very patient young man and he was great with my parents.  He was great especially with my dad who recently turned 70 and can be difficult to deal with.   Please do convey this to Buntheon that we appreciate his enormous patience in dealing with my dad and his special care in making sure my mom was safe while climbing all those stone steps.

Once again, thank you for putting the trip together for us.  We will not hesitate to recommend you to our friends, and we will definitely contact you again when we return to Cambodia.

Happy New Year 2010!

Vandana & Venki. 11th January 2010

Dear Andy,

I am extremely satisfied with my experience with About Asia. Everything went smoothly from the time I began to plan the tour until my final transfer to the airport in Siem Reap.

Bun Chai was an excellent guide; we covered everything in detail as I wished, and I was able to take more than 2600 digital photographs, which was one of my goals. Chai was always informative, and we had some great discussions about the monuments and Cambodia in general. Even when I questioned him about flora and fauna, he always had the answer, and I think I may have grilled him quite a lot on certain aspects of the monuments! His spoken English is excellent and he has good communication skills as well.

The driver was also excellent, always on time and polite.

I would certainly recommend About Asia to anyone considering a trip to Cambodia. If you ever branch out into neighboring Southeast Asian countries, I kindly let me know.

With thanks and best wishes,

Richard Mortel - September 2009

With my thanks, and best wishes,
We have just got back this morning after our trip to Siem Reap. My family and I thank you for arranging the itenary for us. It was beyond our expectations and we truly had a wonderfull time in Seim Reap. Our tour guide Mr. Sophea is truly an enthusiastic and knowledgeable man. He is a proud Cambodian and he truly does his country and your company proud. The driver that we had is an excellent chap as well. I could not have done a better job of driving myself. Our warm regards to him as well. We will most definately recommend your agency to Singaporeans wanting to visit Siem Reap. Keep up the good work guys.
With regards,
Jag - Singapore March 2007

Dear Andy

We have been wanting to write you ever since we came back from our trip to Cambodia and Thailand, but time has just flown away. Anyway, now we finally got around to it.

We want to thank you for a fantastic tour in Cambodia. As you might remember we were in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. We found all of Cambodia and the Cambodians really nice and friendly. But especially Siem Reap with its magnificient temples were great: Angkor Wat at sunrise, Bayon with all the faces etc.

We were also very pleased with both our guides and both our drivers, but especially our guide in Siem Reap - Phum Kanha - were really good. He was good at telling the histories of the different temples and places, but also about the culture and people of Cambodia and trees and plants. Since we have no rice fields and palm trees we asked to stop so we could show it to our daughters and he immediately caught the idea and stopped at other places to show us other plants, wells etc. Please thank him from us.

By the way, I have a good colleque - Mrs. Anne Berg Jensen - who are planning a trip to Cambodia with her family. I have suggested that she should contact you and ask, if you can help her like you helped us - I hope that she follows my advice.

Kind regards,
Jacob and Siri Scherfig - October 2nd 2009

Just a quick update to let you know how pleased we are with our visit to Cambodia so far. Our guide, Mr. Chim Pheakdey ("Joe") is wonderfully knowledgeable and has provided us with so much insight into the history and culture of your country. You driver Poly is very professional and safe. The Hotel de la Paix is lovely - we could not want for any better accommodations or service. We thought you would like to know that we can highly recommend this company for anyone traveling to Siem Reap.
Dick and Linda Lewis - 2nd Feb 2007

This thank you is long overdue, but we didn't forget.  We want to express our appreciation in helping us plan a memorable trip to Cambodia and Vietnam.  Everything went smoothly. . .the people were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the accommodations fabulous.   Angkor Wat was just amazing and our guide, Meus, was the best. . .it's easy to understand why people fall in love with these  temples. You were right and we were so glad that we did the remorques and got a glimpse of the daily lives of the Cambodian people. . .unfortunately, Helen got sick and didn't go with us that day, but it will give her reason to do a return visit. By the way,  if you ever go to Hoian, Vietnam, you must stay at Nam Hai Resort.
Once again, thank you, for all your help.  When we think of Angkor Wat, we will always remember your kindness. Helen and I both felt like we met someone who could easily be our friend.   You can be certain that we will recommend you to our friends who want to visit Cambodia.  If you ever need a reference to future travelers, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,

My name is David Kirszbaum. Hopefully you remember me. I had the pleasure of experiencing your Monulkdiri trip with the wonderful
Mr Sambol in July.

I am sorry that I have not had a chance to write sooner, but I have had to move interstate for work within one week of returning to Australia. I actually received a job offer whilst in the taxi between PP and Kampot!

Anyway, I just wanted to thank both of you for all you work in organising this trip. I can honestly say it was the most memorable part of our trip to Cambodia.
Mr Sambol is probably the best guide we have ever had. His friendliness and knowledge set an extremely high benchmark which others have been unable to come close to. I have tried to email him to say thank you direct, but I would appreciate if you could forward this to him just in case he didn't
receive it. I cannot praise him highly enough.

Our drive Nee also did a wonderful job, especially negotiating the muddy roads between Keo Sema and Sen Monorom.

I may also have found you some clients, as I received some interest from a post I wrote on a lonely planet forum. Her name is Ann and I am forwarding your details to her today. Hopefully she will contact you soon.

Again, thank you for the trip of a lifetime.

Best Regards,

David Kirszbaum - Australia Sept 2007

I want to let you know we were delighted with your service, our clean hotel rooms, our kind and realiable driver Donny and with our tour guide "Vy". At all times "Vy" conducted himself with gentleness, filled with a wealth of information and very easy to talk converse with in English. All of these a must when guiding two adults with a 7 year old boy and 4 year old girl. We LOVED Seim Reap and plan to return. We look forward to using your services again and again.

Andy--
We had a really great time in Cambodia. Thank you! I thought you put together a wonderful and thoughtful intinary.  From the hordes and hordes of tourists that we saw passing us, I can see that it could have been a really crowded (and unpleasant) holiday.

I really enjoyed Beng Melea-- I got to live out an Indiana Jones fantasy!  Seeing the school was an important part of our trip-- please keep us posted and we would like to help in the future.  As for the photography, we could not have asked for more.

Vy was very nice guide-- his historical/archeological explanations could have been more systematic (we found his English hard to follow at times). His strengths were clearly in explaining the mythology and religious iconograhy.  However, he was very helpful and enthusiastic. We also thought the driver should be commended for his excellent service.

Thanks again-- we'll definitely use your company again if we are fortunate enough to visit Cambodia again.

Indeed we had a fantastic time; our trip to Cambodia was a complete success. Thank you for arranging such an excellent and well planned itinerary. I wanted to say thank you for all of your help over the past six months. Our mail contact was a great support during my recovery. And at the end we had a great trip to Cambodia - our transfers went very smoothly and our guides were always helpful and informative. We will certainly be recommending you to our friends. Kind regards, Roberte

We had a great time, thanks to your program, Andy, and to its execution. For people like us, who are interested in the ancient civilisation as well as the life of the country to-day, our trip was a fascinating experience.

Wow! We arrived back yesterday from our amazing trip-thank you thank you thank you for organising such a wonderful itinerary.

We keep saying 'What did you enjoy the most?',but we can't decide-it was all so different that there is no way to choose.

The temples were out of this world-but 3 days was enough (the kids were certainly templed out!)

Our guide in SR (Meas) was gorgeous,he did a fantastic job, took us to some good local restaurants for lunch and one evening also. We met his family at his house and now I am e-mailing one of his nephews to help with his English,I have already had 2 e-mails from him(Chamnan).

The visit to the orphanage was good,I was especially plaesed to see all the kids so happy and content-they loved the toys and clothes and were so polite when we gave them out-lovely kids.

The floating villages were among one of my favourite things-what a way of life they lead.

Didn't have long in Kompong Thom, but it is a small town so that was fine,we saw the fried cockroaches, beetles, grasshoppers and small birds (no spiders though)-I have to admit to trying none of these treats!! Also went to the market in the morning,it stank!!!

Phnom Penh was great, loved the silk weaving place-a really tranquil island, bought a few scarves, table cover and bed spread. Also in PP we had a few days off the Khmer food and frequented the FCC (I know, I know..... a bit of a cop out but we were in need of unfried food for a couple of days!!)

The S-21 museum and the killing fields were fairly harrowing (I had just read The Killing Fields),can't believe that something so barbaric and sick happened such a short time ago,it was a very sobering and thought provoking place. Our guide  in PP was in his early 40's so he was involved in the whole KR regime, his parents and brothers were killed and he was sent to work the land,he was forced into killing someone-he was extremely open and honest about it all and was obviously still terribly upset by it,he got choked up several times-poor guy. He found his Grandmother after it all ended and was bought up by her(and I believe he still lives with her).

Sihanoukville was fantastic, totally chilled and a welcome stop after all the sight seeing and travelling, could stayed there forever!

That was it,a fabulous 11 days in Cambodia-went too fast.

My family and I returned back to Singapore last friday from our trip to Siem Reap, and I just wanted to thank you for the great planning, we had a really good trip. The guide was fantastic, without whom we would not have been able to have such a wonderful experience.
Thank you, and have a great year ahead! Warmest Regards,
Shin Min - Singapore - Jan 07

We have truly enjoyed our trip and we'll be happy to
share with out friends the wonderful experience we
have had in Cambodia.

Once again, we wish to thank you for all the help and
the very last minute planning of our holiday.

Dear Andy,
yesterday we come back home, but I want to thank you again for your organization.
I think that we spent wonderfoul days there, evertithing was perfect and especially Bunth and Lyn;
We like all the travel, the places and the accomodation, and Veranda was very very nice!!!

I hope to come soon again, I can't comprehend what happen when I am in Cambodia, is a strange place without time, and I love it!

I hope also that in the next months I will proceed with the project, now I have more clear idea, and I will let you know.

Kind regards

Hi Andy, just wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience we had with Kanha. He went beyond the call of duty. Since I live in Singapore and plan on a return trip, I will most definitly use your services and definitely Kanha.

Jan CARR - August 2009

Hi Andy,

I just want to express our sincere thanks for a wonderful time in Siem Reap during our visit.

In particular my husband (Les Smith) & I would like to extend our compliments to Banchay (who's name spelling I may have wrong). Banchay was a fabulous guide, informative, gentle, very patient when we needed a rest, and shared the life of Cambodian people so generously when asked questions, including the paiinful past.

Our total compliments on the tour and to Banchay, he made it a very special experience.

regards, Fran Cooper (Australia) - July 2009

Hello Andy, We just wanted to thank you for all your help in planning and executing our plans in Cambodia.  Everything went just as we had hoped.  Our only problem was that I did not plan enough time there.  Hopefully I will correct that if we are fortunate enough to return. I would like to take a moment to mention the people we worked with.  Joanna was extremely helpful in the planning process.  She always responded timely and answered everything I could ask.  (Which is always a lot).   Our guide Kanha was excellent.  He got us to everything we were scheduled to see and was very informative especially in the history department.  As you know that was very important to me and he definitely gave me what I could handle.  I don't remember our driver's name, but he was very efficient, courteous and always very safe.  Definitely a contrast to some of the drivers we have experienced in some foreign countries. It was defintely a pleasure getting to meet you during our trip and having the chance to work with you.  We defintely will be referring anyone we can to you and hope that your business continues to grow in success. Thanks again for everything and hope to see you in the future. Best regards,
Scott & Suzanne Duncan - 13th December 2009

We have travelled quite a bit in many countries but your service has been the best so far and we have no hesitation to recommend you to our friends.
Ravindra - Malaysia - 23 Jan 2007

... if you ever decide to cover other countries and places please let us know.

Dear Andy –

Just to advise we got home yesterday from Bangkok.

Our trip to Siem Reap, Angkor etc was terrific albeit exhausting and we found the Cambodian people we met in Siem Reap to be lovely people.

Thanks for organising our tour and accommodation. The Steung Siem Reap Hotel turned out to be a great choice and I will have no hesitation in recommending you and this hotel to anyone planning to do this trip in the future.

Please feel free to refer anyone to me who wants to check out your level of service.

I am not sure if our friends, the McGiverns contacted ABOUTAsia Travel, but they were travelling for 3 weeks to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam & Bangkok. They went to Vietnam also in 2000.

I handed the stationery items to our tour guide Bun Sai(sp?) / (aka Jack Chem) for handing to you and then onward to Chris Smith.

I said to Bun that he could take a few items for his children if he so wished.

He was excellent and most knowledgeable as a guide, and the driver Da Vid was very good too.

For your information our trip to Siem Reap was inspired by the British restaurateur and TV chef/author Rick Stein who did a series “ Rick Stein’s Far Eastern Odyssey” on BBC last year.

It was also the reason why the McGiverns and some other friends of ours went to Vietnam and Cambodia.

By some coincidence Rick Stein was on our outward flight to Bangkok.

We are now looking for some genuine Cambodian and Thai recipes, and will probably buy Rick Stein’s latest Far East book to join the ones we already have authored by him. His speciality is seafood.

Thank you once again.

Best wishes,

James & Rosie Ying - March 2010

Dear Andy,
we had a good travel back home, though returning in Italy was a little sad after the days spent in Cambodia.
So we would like to thank you for the kindness and the perfect organization of the tour.
You made our trip unforgettable.

Dear Andy,

Somewhat belatedly I would like to communicate our feedback on the tour of the temples with your company and our guide, Kanha.

Dr Gan and I were very happy with the three days and must comment on the quite charm and expertise of Kanha.  Everything went very smoothly and was well managed and organised.

We would be happy to recommend your services, and Kanha as a guide in particular, to any of our friends visiting Siem Reap.

Kind regards,
Michael Pretty 15 Oct 2009.

Andy,

I will pass the word out - arrangements in Cambodia were good,
although with hindsight, I may have given Batambang a miss
alltogether! But that is individual preference and your other clients
may well have loved Batambang....

Also the local guides seemed to have thier own views about the
itinery, not always the same as the detailed one you sent - again,
they were probably using thier own knowledge to try and prioritise
what they thought one wanted to see.

Overall a great trip, and I'm just mentioning stuff that I thought you
may want to know - not meant as a criticism at all..

I think one of the keys was your prompt response to all queries and
requests - sometimes hard to get from larger travel agents and the
quality of hotels in Phnom Phen and Siam Reap...good to retire to a
haven after a day's sight seeing...same for Luang Prabang, and the
forest resort on the last day was great..

Hopefully this collection will grow as I wade through the 1500 or so
frames I took, always the problem with digital, too many shots
taken....

Andy/Johanna,

Terri and I would like to thank you and your staff for all of the arrangements during our recent trip to Siem Reap. We really appreciate the effort, especially  considering the short notice!

We are passing your name to others so hopefully we can bring you some more business.

We'll be in touch the next time we head that way.

Thanks again.

Ciao Andy,
Grazie.
A presto.

Federica e Fabio - January 2010

Andy -

We enjoyed our trip immensely, thank you.  We have had a good time remembering the trip with the many photos we took.

For Christmas, we are considering making a donation for clean drinking water in one of the villages in Cambodia.  However, I am having trouble finding the programs on the web.  Do you have any recommendations?  I thought one was called the Jasmine Project.  One was by Smith Brothers.  I do find a link to Sustainable Cambodia.

Appreciate any help you can provide.

Dear Andy,

I want to thank you infinitely for the large support that you gave me in organizing this important journey in Laos. I and my friends loved Indochina very much and certainly we'll return in the next years.

Althought we received several quotes from other tour operators, but we finally decided to book our travel with Mr. Phalla because we blindly trust in your advice and we are sure to repeat an other positive experience as the one we lived in Cambodia.

Thank you very much.

Hi Andy,

Just wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous time in Cambodia and Kanha our guide and the driver (Nan - not sure how to spell it) were great, they really made our trip enjoyable.  Kanha was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to explain things and both were extremely helpful.

Thanks for all your help with the organisation of the tour.
Samantha Boyle 25 Sept 2009.

Andy,

Just returned home, family had a wonderful time in Cambodia and your team certainly makes the holiday more interesting. We felt that we were not just seeing the normal tourist sites. We would have no hesitation in recommending your company to others.

A really special thanks to your cook for the picnic lunch. Only one favour, we had Amok chicken every day as we enjoyed it so much, but hers was by far the best. Any chance we could get here recipe.

Once again many thanks

regards

Beh, buona Cambogia e Angkor!" Fulvio Iori - Milano 11.12.06

Now that we have returned I wanted to write and let you know how pleased we are to have made this trip with your expertise and assistance.  We can’t imagine having done it any other way, particularly having watched so many other tour groups herding large groups from the bus to a quick look at a temple, and NEVER seeing these groups in some of the other most interesting places we got to go.  With one minor exception, the coordination among our guides and drivers was perfectly choreographed and we were so well cared for.  Each of our 4 guides was helpful and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make our experience special. We particularly enjoyed Sarath during our days in Siem Reap.   I would highly recommend your organisation to anyone I know considering going to Cambodia.

Though the temples, museums, and palace were all outstanding sights to visit, our favorite memories will surely be the people and the unique things we had opportunity to see and do.  Sarath taught Jon to fish using the round net with weights around the edges and though he didn’t catch any fish, when he fly fishes he often doesn’t catch any either and still has fun.  Throughout the country we met children that were delightful --- the kids at the temple near Kompong Thom that were learning to play traditional instruments, the kids at the orphanage learning the alphabet, the teenage boy at the market in Siem Reap that knew the capital of every country, the kids performing with shadow puppets.  Our planned activities were excellent --- learning to cook some of the Cambodian food, visiting the weaving village, and seeing the pepper plantation near Kampot.  And our unplanned activities were amazing ---- planting rice and driving the ox to plow the field, having lunch with the other workers in the field, coming across a parade of villagers celebrating the engagement of a young couple.  We loved our accommodations (though maybe not the one in Kompong Thom so much):  Amanjaya in Phnom Penh had a fabulous view of the busy street along the Mekong River and we were fascinated watching the traffic.  The Veranda Natural Resort in Kep was like living with Swiss Family Robinson in the trees and your suggestion of the Kampot green pepper and salt shrimp was my favorite dish of the whole trip.  The Residence d'Angkor in Siem Reap was beautiful and relaxing and the staff delightful and always interested in what we were doing and amazed at how much more interesting our itinerary was compared to most tours they see.

We were both surprised and pleased at how open the people were to our questions and the honesty of their answers.  We learned so much of the history and culture of the country that we were woefully uninformed on prior to our trip.  We were both saddened by the great difficulty that remains for the people of Cambodia and impressed with how much initiative many of the children and adults alike exhibit.  We are also grateful that your compnay contributes to try to improve their lives through your foundation.

Our greatest regards to all of your staff that contributed to our memorable trip.

Hello Andy!

I would like to thank you for such a well-organized and wonderful trip. Our guide, Bunchay, was great. He was always helpful, friendly and answered all of our questions -they were a lot, you can ask him!!! Our driver was also very nice. They both speak such good English!

Cambodia is such an interesting country. We are definitely interested on going back some day. We had a fantastic time and we learned so many things. I wish I had planned our vacation differently, so that we had stayed in Cambodia at least one week. Now I know for next time!!! My son enjoyed the trip very much too. He was very impressed with the nature around the temples, he loved the huge trees and the insects he discovered around, and was very interested in the stories Bunchay told us about the Hindu gods.

We asked Bunchay for a cooking class too, and he immediately arranged it for us. We were in Le Tigre de Papier, and it was really fun! We hadn't done that as a family before, and we had such a great time. And the food is delicious! We also asked about Cambodian dance, and he recommended us a show. We liked it very much, both the dance and the dinner that was included.

Thank you very much again. I wish you all the best for Asia Travel, and we will certainly recommend it to all our friends.

I decided to book a tour with Andy because I was impressed from the outset by the thoughtfulness and quality of the information the company provided about its tours and organizational philosophy. The company's founder helped me with all of the arrangements from finding a hotel to booking a flight from Thailand to Cambodia. When I arrived in Siem Reap, I was pleased to find that that I'd made a good choice of tour companies. My guide was very knowledgeable and professional and did a great job of telling the stories and histories associated with each temple. I appreciated that, in addition to explaining the history and significance of the temples, he also took time share information about life in Cambodia/ Siem Reap today. I enjoyed visiting Cambodia and my visit was greatly enhanced by the folks at the company who, from the founder to my guide, to our driver were kind, helpful, and competent.

A huge 'thank you' for such a fantastic experience.   The whole trip was so well put together - we enjoyed every minute of it even though we might have become very hot and very swetty on occasions!   Rith was tops in Phnom Penh and Sna was just the most delightful and well informed person.  His contribution to our trip was major and also what a great driver we had.

The night with your football team was special and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to experience that and letting us be a  part of it.  Say a big hello to the team and make sure you keep us up to date with future scores.

This is to say a BIG thank you for putting together an amazing holiday for us. It was a truly surreal experience- we consider ourselves really lucky to have witnessed the ancient wonders of Cambodia, especially. With regards to the tour, we were very happy with our guide, driver, transport and hotel.

Also thank you for the pains you took (with considerable trust placed in us) to avoid any problems we might have faced with the immigration authorities. We were honestly surprised that we didn't encounter any hassle on arrival, and when departing. This would definitely not have been possible without your prior leg work.

We would definitely not hesitate to recommend your organisation to anyone looking to tour the region. We wish you both the very best in your future endeavours.

Thanks and regards,
Chamila, Neil and Mal.

Dear Andy,

I'm back to Italy since last Sunday but 'absorbed' immediately with the office duties...
Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time, everything worked smoothly, drivers & guides were good and really enjoyed Cambodia. Even if not involved with guest tours and working for the continental train operations I will for sure recommend it.

Also wanted to apologies for not having contacted you before as you kindly invited to a BBQ. Really wanted to join to have a chat, but we were late and then we totally forgot... Hope you do not think I'm a very unpolite person.

Now next holidays are quite far but luckly I have such good memories of my recent trip

Take care, good luck for the 'business'. Hope the fishes of the aquarium are ready to move to Pascal's residence

Take care and thank you again

Buongiorno a tutti,

The trip to Cambodia was enhanced by the knowledgable helpful personal approach of our guide and his driver. No request was too much and his knowledge of the sites and how to see the most in the short time we had was VERY impressive. When I return to cambodia I will certainly use you again

"This summer I was in Thailand and decided on the spot to organize via internet a brief detour to Angkor, since I've been reading a lot about this Wonder but for various reasons I hadn't had chances to visit it. I was immediately attracted by the completeness and beauty of this web site so I decided to book their Guided Tour service to the Temples. Having booked everything on-line just a day prior my arriving, I've been then aknowledged that Andy had read my mail just 27 minutes (!!) before my landing at 9.30 PM at Siem Reap. Believe it or not...exiting the airport there were the manager and driver waiting for me! Along the way to my hotel we planned the visits of my 3 days' tour and the following morning, sharp, their Guide and driver were picking me up at the lobby to start the tour. They've been three unbelievable days: the magic of the sites, the architectural and cultural magnificency of the temples, the spectacular level reached by the Khmer culture. The UNESCO status, even if prestigious, doesn't give the whole idea of this wonder!! The city of Siem Reap also deserves a special mention: an authentic jewel still intact, "colonial" atmospheres of the lost "French Indochina" (but with no colonial ruling anymore...).
The whole extremely valued by the competence and professionality, flexibility, passion for their own cultural heritage by the whole staff: a real unique experience! And what about the project to contribute, with a share of the revenues, to cambodian childrens' education: I could concretely feel  their sincere pride and involvement in this project, and this it has soundly touched me...

Reading back to what I wrote, I realize that all this could sound excessively "over promoting": but, believe me, it was not my purpose. My only hope is that this initiative can succeed and, at the same time, the touristic boom Cambodia is worthly experiencing won't alter the integrity of sites and people. The natural politeness and deepness of Cambodian people at its whole, which goes beyond the frightening wounds left by the allucinated Khmer Rouge experiment, is really special and deserves the best. Think about it: nevertheless the genocide of a third (!!) of the entire population, this same people has had the courage and spiritual strenght to not allow itself to pursue a comprensible aim of counter-revenge, as sadly happened in the former Yugoslavia and as Iraq is experiencing. I believe that only this is already sensational. So, have a nice Cambodia and Angkor!"
